Summary of Book

"Pepper Zhang, Artist Extraordinaire!" is a children's book born out of a father's mission to write a book for his daughter that doesn't currently exist: an inspirational book with a strong Asian girl as the main character. Yes, Pepper Zhang is Asian, and no this book is not a book about Asian culture -- it's just a fun and dynamic story that children of all backgrounds can enjoy! At its core, "Pepper Zhang, Artist Extraordinaire!" is an extraordinary story about an ordinary little girl who discovers an interest in art and transforms into an "Artist Extraordinaire!" Through her journey into fame and stardom, Pepper learns an important life lesson about humility. This book was made into reality through a Kickstarter Campaign that received more than $30,000 in pledges! Pepper has been featured on Huffpost, Mashable, Bustle, Upworthy, Now This, Babble and more!

Author Biography

Jerry Zhang is a writer, lawyer and father of two fierce daughters. One day, his oldest daughter, Madison, told him she didn't want to be Chinese because none of the characters in her favorite children's books are Chinese; this prompted him to write his own book starring a cool, spirited and interesting little Asian girl as the main character - someone Madison can identify with: Pepper Zhang! Since then, he has embarked on a mission to help close the diversity gap in children's books by writing the books that he never got to read as a child growing up in the U.S. Visit his site at www.LittleNingBooks.com!
