Author Biography

Yobe is an educator, entrepreneur and mom who lives in NYC. As an educator, she focused on teaching families to embrace love, diversity and different cultures. Through the years working in the classrooms and closely with other educators, she noticed the lack of multi-cultural resources that represented children of color. That is when Yobe decided to create multi-cultural children stories that feature Asian children, families and cultures!

[Pui Yu Chan is] a Hong Kong watercolor illustrator currently based in Stockholm. Watercolor always gives me a calm heart to see things around me. I use watercolor to describe and create something meaningful in my life, or your life. As a nature lover, I always see watercolor as a record of landscapes and views we love. Different from photos, I use color to express my feelings and combine this with what I see. With the delicacy and flexibility of watercolor, the beauty of nature can be shown on a paper which is made by materials we collected from nature. For me, this is one of the most romantic circulations. I also like painting animals considering they are the crucial parts making the nature alive.
