Summary of Book

Having Two Dads is double the fun! Many families are different. The family in this story has Two Dads. A beautifully illustrated, affirming story of life with Two Dads, written from the perspective of their adopted child. Two Dads is a book about LGBT parents and adoption. The simple narrative and illustrations depict just how very normal LGBT families are. It is a funny and tender representation of family life. The book would be a good platform for opening up conversations about adoption or same sex parenting.


Author Biography

Carolyn began her writing career at Teacher Training college, writing for student publications and later educational magazines. She went on to teach in London for 20 years. Carolyn and her partner are adoptive Mums to two boys. Carolyn is a keen advocate of the rights and needs of adopted children and children within LGBT families.

Carolyn regularly writes articles for associated adoption press and magazines. She also writes TV scripts and adult fiction & comedy.

Carolyn's childrens books have been well received and reviewed by leading magazines such as Gay Times, DIVA, Huffington Post, New Family Social and Adoptivefamiles.com.

Her Two Dads book is due to be read out on 9th Feb 2019 on BBC Cbeebies Bedtime Story by Will Young.

Illustrator Biography

I graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2003 and have been represented by 'The Organisation' agency since then, being published in titles such as: The Selkie Child (Oxford University Press) My First Bible for Marks and Spencer, My Favorite Michael (Little Tiger Press) The Christmas Wish, The Lonely Chick and The Best Dog in The World ( Scholastic Scholastic) by Sylvia Green amongst many others.
