Author Biography
Jabari Asim is a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign and a recent recipient of the prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship. He has written for the Washington Post and has published critically-acclaimed serious adult nonfiction. He lives in Urbana, IL, with his wife and five children.
Illustrator Biography
LeUyen Pham was born in Saigon, Vietnam and grew up in Southern California. She attended the Art Center College of Design and worked as a layout artist for Dreamworks before illustrating children's books full-time. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and baby boy.
